"Chocolate" Orange

Look, I made an pumpkin  orange. And it has a little green bow on it that looks like leaves, which means that it's organic.

And I haven't gotten to the best part yet... it's stuffed, not with polyfil, but with...
Chocolate! Isn't that a great idea? It's like giving someone a chocolate orange when you don't have an actual chocolate orange. It's amazing.

Since it's so amazing and genius, I've decided to do you all the great favor of writing up the pattern for you so you can make an exact replica.

The orange is crocheted- a craft which I generally detest but I thought it made a nice orange-like texture- and then the bow is a 2-stitch knitted i-cord. If you're scared of i-cord, fear not, I've included a crochet option in the pattern. Click 'Read more' for the pattern.
"Chocolate" Orange

What you need:
20-30 yards of worsted weight yarn in orange
Small amount of worsted weight yarn in green
US H/5.00mm crochet hook
US 7/4.5mm Double Pointed Needles
Marker or scrap of yarn to mark the beginning of rounds
Chocolates (Hershey's Kisses, Dove, whatever)

Gauge: Not important

Abbreviations: (American terms used)
ch: chain stitch
sc: single crochet
sl st: slip stitch
sk st: skip over a stitch

Pattern notes:
On the first two decrease rounds, you will end the last repeat with sc2 instead of sc5.

PATTERN

With orange yarn and crochet hook:

Rnd 1: sc 6 in second ch from hook, join with a sl st to first stitch
Rnd 2: sc 2 into every stitch around, join with a sl st to first stitch
Rnd 3: sc into every stitch around, join with a sl st to first stitch
Rnd 4: *sc 2 into one stitch, 1 into the next stitch, repeat from * around, join with a sl st to first stitch
Repeat rounds 3 and 4 until you have a total of 26 stitches
Sc in spirals until work measures 3 inches
Decrease rounds:
Rnd 1: *sk first stitch, sc5, repeat from * around, join with a sl st to first stitch.
Repeat twice more.
Drawstring holes: *ch 3, sk st, sl st into next st, repeat from * around.
Break yarn and weave in ends.
BOW:
Using DPNs and green yarn, work a 2 stitch icord for fifteen inches. ***Break yarn, weave in ends, and weave it through the ch 3 spaces on the orange.
Crochet variation: Make a ch 15 inches long. Turn and sc in every stitch. Follow instructions from above starting at ***

Now, fill your orange with chocolates (I fit about 12 in mine, but you'll be able to fit in more or less depending on the chocolate), tighten the drawstring and tie it in a bow. You're done! Now hurry and give it to someone before you eat all the chocolate.
